ARTEMISIA

It is a story of a seventeen-year-old female by the name of Artemisia Gentileschi who is a nun in the catholic church in Italy. Artemisia always has this talent of doing art, she would hide a micro mirror and before she goes to bed she would take of her clothes and draw her body.
Sadly, Artemisia was caught up by some of the nuns and they were so mad at her which led her father to take her away from the church in order to discover her talent in art. In fact, when Artemisia left the church she became well known for her art work. Plus, she saw at the beach a great artist who is also famous guy that Artemisia loves to work with him. But he his ignorant and selfish didn’t let him give this young girl a chance to show him her talent.

However, he saw her work and fallen in love with both Artemisia’s work and beauty which she didn’t like to date this old artist. Things have gotten serious when one day she was with him in the room and he raped her and was sentenced two years at the jail.

. At the end, Artemisia with all this problem and streets that she had been through she stood up and start drawing more and more. Eventually, she was offered a job to do wall work in churches and later one became one of the best artist who lived in that small area where she grew up in

Museum trip

AIC

My first impression was just like wooooooow when I saw that first floor full with sculptures because I have been living here in Chicago and I have never thought of going to this unreadable museum. Plus, one thing that I love the most at the beginning was how beautifully and well organized the museum was.

I have learned that the museum even has a specific section place for photography art which I wasn’t expecting to see, because back in my mind museum only photos and sculptures but I guess I was wrong so far this is the first place where I saw a huge section for photography art. The second thing I learned was that if anybody wants to practice and draw some photos like the ones in the walls he or she has to ask for a permission from the museum and to apply for this kind of participation.

Salih and I both agreed that this photo was unbelievably the best photo we saw at the museum despite all the pretty images we came across. The reason why I loved it so much because if one gets closer one can see how the artist was so picky with the shadows and the greens.  If I have to write any comments to any artists, I would absolutely pick Seurat. On other words, if I hadn’t seen the image above I would have never talked about Seurat. simply the guy is miraculously talented and well known all over the world because of his “Sunday at La Grande Jatte” and I myself start reading a lot about him.

However, my favorite photo was this lady right here. I can’t imagine how much I fallen in love with is heavenly work right here. I felt like this fancy woman has many stories to be told like success and suffering. Not mentioning the fact that I loved her because her dress and jacket. Not only that but, the black dark hair with the white skin. Simply this lady just stole my mind Lool.

The poem
 Every word every whisper
My soul always carries them for you
Every tear every joy
I always run and tell them to you
And you are my heart and my hope
Tell me what's with you why are you silent?
Do tell my heart, Do tell my hope, tell me what's the secret?
Do tell my heart, Do tell my hope, tell me what's the secret?
What? What?

my overall impressions is that everyone who has never been to the AIC soon or later he or she must go because there are some pieces of art needs to be appreciated.

Chicago Cultural Center

Norman Lewis

Lewis was not only an important member of the Harlem art community, but an active contributor to abstract expressionist innovation that generated immense excitement among avant-garde artists downtown.

Here is my favorite photo that Lewis has done. Plus, it has been said that this photo has do to with the hardships that black people had been through from the society where they live in. I can see how desperate and lost this guy is felling here. It was not hard for Lewis to forget what his people experienced and felt left out for years and years

Lewis was indeed an inspirational and ambitious artist who gained the love of the black people after he down one of the most controversial photo that was shocked millions of people around the world. Again the guy saw his people being killed and discriminated against and he had no other chose to defiant his people accept by his skills. However, he had apologized later for this photo and said artists shouldn’t mix politics with art.

AIC

My experience with AIC was incredibly useful and easy to discover the website. For example, before I used this website I was thinking of one website who can be really well organized so that I can look at things freely of course the AIC provided this to me. Not only that, if you anyone wants to see a specific art and where it come from or which era is this art was in. simply scroll down till you see the collection part and by clicking on it you can see what type of art people liked and information is written on every one of it.

Plus, I am so excited to go with my classmates and see this museum because I am pretty sure that I will be shocked by the pieces of art and the sculptures that they have. Despite the fact that I found some difficulties trying to send photos to the teacher and I couldn’t, but since the website is so easy to use I figured it out.

Public Art Tour Project

at the beginning I want to apologize that most of the photos were taking selfies, but I did go there after class and had them done in one day. isn’t that amazing Gete?Lol Now before I head there I was thinking which ones should I take or which ones are nice. of course, I got these and I think that they are pretty much the best at the loop in my personal perspective. however, I opened the website that show me where the art located and not only that but when did this peace of arts created and released. I like it so much because it made it easier for me to know all the information. On top of that, I have to admit that I am now more educated about Chicago’s arts and since that day if I see a piece of art I have to stop and read or at least take a photo that of course because of the incredible efforts that Get done for us. Thank you

I came up with this idea of sending a simple and humble massage about how friends can be cruel and not trustworthy. Here I was standing in the front and the one that I thought was my friend he betrayed me and he is stabbing me from the back.

National Museum of Mexican Art

I’ve got to admit that this museum happened to be my favorite museum so far. Despite how humble the museum is, but still got my attention. Reason why, because this what I want to see a museum that represents a particular country and culture. Yes, I am that can of person who interested in seeing a museum that demonstrates and reveals for us foreign students who for some of us have never heard about Mexico before. However, through this museum people will be able to know a lot about the day of the dead. For example, the museum almost about the (the day of the dead) and as far as I know it is Mexican special day. I mean it is possible to see other countries who might celebrate this day of dead. But according to my teacher (Michal) this kind of day it is a Mexican’s day. Additionally, I was shocked about what the people give to their loved ones when they pass way like they would give him or her things that they liked and no matter what kind objects they just give it anyway.

On the other hand, I was mesmerized by this painting I sat down and stared at it for almost 15 minutes enjoying every details this painting has. For instant, here I clearly can see how sin is covering them all not only that but it is mixture of faithful people and sinful people being together in one photo. At least that what I see here.

the only thing i thought of this painting was the the classical instruments that on the floor. I love history I love every old piece of everything because I fell nostalgic every time I see an old objects i take a second and think about the video games and the classical moves that i used to see with my brothers as a kid.

At the end, this was my favorite painting at the museum without a doubt why I said that because here I personally see the hardships that Mexican people facing here in America. Plus, they are working as agriculture meaning without them the city will stink. Yet, they are working very hard to survive. One thing also was attracted me that the desert there . I love seeing I the sand it is part of me as middle eastern guy that where i belong, because I fell nostalgic every time I sees and  immediately remind me of my childhood. no wonder why this painting had Oscar because it is breathtaking that's it.
